Do I need a Doctor’s referral?No, only if you are wishing to claim through Veteran Affairs or your Insurance Company eg. Workcover, or use an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) package. Can I claim my appointment on Medicare? To be eligible to claim through Medicare you need an Enhanced Primary Care referral from your local GP.

Your claim details Please note that all claims are subject to approval by your insurance company. If Workcover or Comcare do not agree to our full fees, eg will only pay for a 20 minute consult when we treat for 30mins, then we will request that you pay the gap and seek direct reimbursement back for the people paying the accounts. Do you have Hicaps? Yes, we can process your appointment through our Hicaps machine at both locations on the day of your consultation only. All you need is your Health Fund card. How else can I pay? We accept cash, cheque and have EFTPOS and credit card facility. Please note that we do not accept American Express or Dinner’s Club. Do you do home visits?We do offer home visits when required. Please contact our friendly team to discuss in greater detail. There is an additional charge for home visits due to the extra time required to travel to a home or aged care facility. about our services Who can benefit from Physiotherapy and/or Occupational Therapy? The physiotherapy and occupational therapy we do at Neurospace is particularly targeted at long standing and difficult problems. We pride ourselves on being able to help almost anyone with movement difficulties and place emphasis on gaining quality of life and meaning from our therapy. Our team is complemented by massage therapy and exercise physiologist and aquatic therapy. We offer a range of group programs on land and in water to further extend our capacity to help you. We can assist with neurological conditions including but not limited to the following:
Are you hands on or do you use machines? Our therapists enjoy using their hands and this make up the majority of the treatment. However, some machines are beneficial in helping recovery. For example, we use cold laser therapy and ultrasound to help mobilise scar tissue and improve healing, TENS for pain relief at home, muscle stimulators to activate weak muscles. When an electronic device is used, the therapist remains with you, and this is only a small portion of the overall assessment and treatment. Do I need to do home exercises? We will advise specific exercises to help you. We discuss how this is going to fit into your current routine and work with you to make the program achievable for your situation. Home exercises will be beneficial to virtually all problems we encounter, however it is always your choice as to what you do. Can I purchase equipment through you? Yes, equipment can be purchased through Neurospace. There is a range of exercise items kept in stock to assist your rehabilitation program. Our therapists may also prescribe certain items such as braces to assist movement, aids to help you in the home. We can order these if you would like us to.
