other services
Almost anyone with a neurological condition can make improvements to the way they move to improve the quality of their life.
We will assess your current health condition and functional status and discuss with you a plan to help you reach achievable goals.
This may involve regular physiotherapy or other health services, less frequent monitoring for exercise reviews or consultation with other other health professionals as required.
We provide all clients with a tailored exercise program.
We offer services in our rooms, in an acute hospital setting (National Capital Private Hospital, Calvary John James Memorial Hospital) or on home visits.
If you need equipment to enhance movements, we can sell or hire it to you. All equipment is individually assessed and fitted.

For people in rural areas, regular movement reviews are vital to optimise your abilities and help with problem solving. We are trialling using Skype for consultations. Skype™ can be used with either an auditory only or visual and auditory component. The latter is dependent on your speed capacity to transmit and receive information. Ideally we would have our initial consultation as a face to face meeting during a trip to Canberra but we can also use Skype™ for this. If Skype does not work for you we can also teleconference with you over the telephone.
To make a physiotherapy appointment using Skype:
- Download the free Skype™ software onto your computer from www.skype.com and test your capacity to use the system in your geographical area.
- Telephone Neurospace on 02 6162 0450 to book an appointment time with therapist. Charges will be made for the appointment at our normal rates as though you were here in the rooms.
- Arrange a test run of equipment with the receptionist to be completed as soon as possible, to confirm that the appointment will be able to go ahead. The receptionist will note all your Skype contact details and confirm the quality of the connection.
At the time of your appointment, be waiting at your computer ready for our therapist to call you.
Our call name is neurospace1.
